Paper Towns

This blog is inspired from the book ‘Paper Towns’ by ‘John Green’. The novel is about a girl named Margo.

Paper Town is the fake town created by map makers. They put fake bridges and landmarks to ensure that their work hasn’t been copied.

The concept put me into deep thinking. Do humans have tendency to create their own paper town? Does every person creates his own world of expectations, perceptions etc?

  1. Sometimes what we see isn’t what is there. Sometimes it is what we want to see. Sometimes it is what we need to see. And sometimes it is a kind of self-defense.

If you put a paper town on your personal map and it shows up on someone else’s map, what does that say about their relationship to you?
